The company-wide transformation from traditional working models to an agile framework needed a scalable platform to align 65,000+ employees on agile roles, methods, and workflows.
The task was to design an internal collaboration website from the ground up that could serve as a central source of truth and a catalyst for change. My role involved extensive teamwork with PMs, POs, and other stakeholders to bridge the gap between business needs and user experience at an unprecedented scale.
I designed and implemented a comprehensive design system and components library, consulted with product owners to translate requirements into user-centered design, and coded web component styles to ensure design fidelity. I also created a new logo and video branding to establish a cohesive visual identity.
Through iterative discussions and workshops with various stakeholders, I gained a deep understanding of their current pain points in collaboration, their existing agile practices (or lack thereof), and their desired outcomes. This phase allowed me to clearly define the product vision and the overarching goals.
Given the scale of the project, a significant part of this phase involved conceptualizing and building the design system. I prototyped different layouts and component interactions, constantly considering how to simplify complex agile concepts into easily digestible and actionable information. My work on the design system directly influenced the efficiency of prototyping, allowing for rapid iteration and testing of different design patterns.
While my fellow colleague setup layout of the webpages following my designs, I took on the responsibility of coding the styles for the web components, directly influencing the implementation of the design system. This hands-on involvement ensured design fidelity and a seamless transition from concept to code. My direct involvement in coding the web component styles meant I was constantly testing the feasibility and implementation of my designs. This close integration of design and development allowed for immediate iteration and refinement, ensuring that the design was not only user-friendly but also technically sound and scalable.
Beyond the core UI, I also designed a new logo for the platform, establishing a distinct visual identity. Furthermore, I created video intros and outros for upcoming training, tutorial, and informational videos, ensuring a consistent and professional visual experience for all multimedia content.
The website garnered 1.7 million views since going live mid April 2025, driving alignment and collaboration across multiple business units. The initiative established a shared, practical definition of agile roles, methods, and workflows, embedding agile thinking into day-to-day operations. By creating a common language of agile working, the website empowers teams to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively at scale.
